March 19, 2013 1\3 of the Way There With My Radiation Treatments Chemo Side Affects - A Special Elevator Appointment Well today is a little celebration for me because I have  had 10 radiation  treatments so far. I Have 20 treatments left so I am 1\3 of the way there.   Though I am still dealing with the side effects of the chemo, radiation treatments seems a lot easier on me. The one thing that I am really excited about is my nausea seems to have finally passed. Praise The Lord. This chick was tired of being sick to her stomach. It only took 11/2 months after my last chemo treat for the nausea to pass. I have neuropathy in my hands and feet from the chemo. Basically that means I can't feel the bottoms of my feet or hands. It is a strange tingly feeling in the parts I can't feel. They told me it could be up to 6 months for this to go away and that sometimes it doesn't go away. March 8, 2013 A New Second Home  The Hostel at the SJRH -  We are all in the same boat of cancer, but for a different reason. One of the night house mothers at the Hostel at the SJRH. Saw her a little over 1 1\2  After I’d finished treatments. They were such a special team of people. God is good. The Lord has been good. Jamie has been able to be with me my first three days  to see me at the hostel and get me settled in. You may wonder what it is like to stay in the hostel... well we are all here for the same thing, cancer, but all to different degrees. I had a Christian roommate this week. We have been talking a lot. She was given 18 months to live 8 months ago. Today they told her that there is nothing else that they can do for treatments for her. We talked and shared much about The Lord... sometimes I think that God just wants you there to listen too. We both agreed that we don't know how anyone could go through something like this without the Lor...

Each time I am laying on my back to receive my radiation treatments,  this is my view. I love that they have this on the ceiling.  Reminds me of Lionel Richie’s song, “Dancing on the Ceiling”. March 4, 2013  Another Phase Begins (Radiation Treatments) It is Monday evening and Jamie is home for his two weeks off from the boat; though I shouldn’t say they will be spent off.  We leave for St. John Wednesday morning as Wednesday afternoon I have my first radiation treatment.  I take all my things and move into the hostel at the hospital.  This week I will only stay Wed. & Thurs. and Friday after my radiation treatment I will come home for the weekend.  Then the cycle will be M-F, I will be staying in the hostel at the St. John Regional Hospital and getting one treatment each day.   I will be allowed home for the weekend.  I am such a homebody by nature, that honestly I am not looking forward to being gone fr...
