I am Stable - 08/26/2024

Honest Jamie, “I AM STABLE!” What does love look like in your house?  The things you do for love. There are several times that I have tried to convince Jamie that I am “normal”.   Well today, I was given a whole new, unexpected approach.  It was verbal confirmation & in print form.  Just to be clear, I did NOT write these reports. Remember the movie, “Adventures in Babysitting”?  Well somehow that’s how I equate Jamie’s care-givers job, since my mobility setback.  We are always off on our adventures where ever they take us.  And I have honestly learned how to, “Go with the flow,” as we never know what is going to happen or what to expect along the way.  Think about, this ADD brain chick who is part OCD about things just letting go & being free in Christ.  There truly is freedom in Christ if you trust Him.  The one thing that typically always remains, no matter the cancer roller-coaster ride, is humor.  How many o...

August 22, 2024 - Happy Anniversary - Forever Grateful

Happy Anniversary Jamie Matthews.  Well, I know where we were 44 years ago today Hon.  We were getting ready to elope or at least I was. Just a little earlier than you.  Believe it or not he stopped on his way home from being on the boat seining for the week.  He was covered in fish scales and very fragrant.  He asked me if I was ready to go. 🤣😂  For those who aren’t familiar with seining back then… at that time, there were NO showers on a lot of the boats. So as you can tell, humor really has prevailed in our relationship.  God has many purposes for this rich gift.  Humor can add a wonderfully positive dimension.  #1. It is solid proof that humor works, as we both are still alive. 😉  Love you beyond, what I can express in words.  Through it all, you remain my favorite love story.  Well except, the greatest love story of all and that is Jesus Christ’s gift on the cross to us all.  Jesus also tells us the greatest...

A Moment in Time - 08/13/2024

A Moment in Time Have you ever been really tired?  Well God taught me, “It’s OK to be tired,” with one of His divine appointments last year.  Recently there has been a lot of heavy news about people we each love & care about who will be battling cancer or a very serious illness.  You each know who you are.  This is dedicated to all of you… those that just stepped into this battle… those that love you … those who are the caretakers and those who continue this battle.  Love you all beyond words.     God already knows their names, so let’s just lift them ALL to the Throne of Grace.  It’s heavy lifting but God CAN carry this load. Today the sky has tuffs of cotton ball clouds floating by.  The beauty of this day reminded me of rich blessings that God gave me at the beginning of this cancer journey.  This particular day last year was the day I found out that I not only had breast cancer again, but that it had metastasized to m...
