May 4, 2023 My Titanium Ribbon - Mammogram, Ultra Sound & Biopsy

My Mother’s Day Gift May 8, 2023 from My Daughter, Lindsay.
She did not know I would find out that I had breast cancer.
I received it in God’s perfect timing to read.
It was a perfect powerful read as I stepped into
My 2’nd journey with Breast Cancer.
I could see myself within this masterpiece of writing.
I think you could too.  Please read this work of art.
God has so much to teach us in the places we least expect.

 My Titanium RibbonπŸŽ—πŸŽ—- May 4, 2023

For a little while, please  come walk with me.

That day was not the day that I had hoped for, yet I know God always answers our prayers in the way that is best for us.  In the prayer room, I have been praying for God to “Bring it on” and I’d walk where He wanted me to share Christ with people.  “Bring it on” He did on April 24th, 2023 and I am trusting Him all for it.   At my mammogram appointment, I received a titanium ribbon. You see they did my mammogram followed by an ultra sound & biopsies of mass in my breast.  It is the same breast that I had had cancer in 2012.  The technician told me that the doctor who did my biopsies had placed a titanium marker in the shape of the breast cancer symbol (within the lump in my breast) to mark it for the surgeon.  She redid a mammogram picture & showed me the marker.  BTW I chose to watch the doctor do my biopsies on the ultra sound machine.  Have my appointment with the my oncologist on May 3’rd.  The Doctor who did my ultra sound & biopsies believes it is cancer & not a cyst.  A new journey begins with God in control.   I got my titanium ribbon before I started this race.

During this time, I had an opportunity to encourage & thank these people who are trying to save my life by doing these tests.  Yes I HUGGED one of them too.  BTW The doctor who read my ultra sound & did my biopsies was a wonderful doctor.  He shared that he believes it is cancer not a cyst.  My oncologist called on on April 26th & I go to see her & hopefully get my results on May 3’rd.  On May 8th, I go for my initial appointment to see my surgeon.  God was making a way in advance for me, as my dermatologist had referred me the week before this appointment to the surgeon.  Love when you get a glimpse of how God is making a way.

After I had shared the news with my daughter (Lindsay), I received this text message.  “God has got this and not a thing that happens to us in our life is outside his plan and purpose for us! Love you”.  My heart was so blessed to see I have passed her on my “spiritual genes” to her.

Today I also had the opportunity to bless a man in the entryway facing infusions 2x’s a week (And he’s waiting for a brain scan).  His name was Kim & I told him I would pray for him.  Then the Lord placed three woman in the mammogram waiting room.   One was nervous.  This woman was younger than me from SS.  Everyday is our opportunity to step into our “God Story” with God.  The question is are we willing?  God can always use us.   Through the power of prayers prayer gave me strength to do what God needed me to do to serve Him by helping those he placed in my path. That is a privilege.  My heart believes that the hospital is Holy Ground when are chosen to walk there for Christ.  The first time I had cancer my prayer, day one was people would see Christ in me & not just cancer.  This time God sends me in prepared from where I walked before to walk with others who step into this unchosen journey.

A healthy perspective begins when you stop to count your blessings no matter what journey is placed in front of you.  I am thankful that I am strong in Him.  πŸ’ž I am thankful for Jamie & all God has done for us.  I am thankful for my family, my friends, my church, church family & most of all for my Lord & King.  My heart is humbled & grateful for each person He entrusts to my care by placing them in my path.

Please pray for His Will, His way & His strength mixed with His divine wisdom to walk wherever this leads STRONG in Him.πŸŽ—πŸŽ—
