The CT SCAN - It Is Finished!
My CT scan is complete. The only way that it was possible was through the power of the generous prayers that you lifted to my Lord and King for both Jamie, myself, and the workers. To God be the glory. Great things he has done. ✨♥️🙌♥️✨God was so merciful and did the miracle.
1. Jamie came up with the perfect idea. He said that he could just wheel me over to the hospital in my wheelchair. That way I would only have to get up and down twice at the hospital.
Lesson: listen to your husband! God has given him great wisdom. Remember Paulette, “you’re not the only one I talk to. “
2. My God SHALL supply all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:19.
3. My prayer today is that the pictures I am posting, will show you the love of Christ in their eyes. “The eye is the lamp of the body. You draw light into your body through your eyes, and light shines out to the world through your eye”….Matthew 6:22
4. Tonight, I will be using point form and dictation from my iPad, as I am in bed and only have the use of my left arm. I think my cousin Richard Stevens will love this, along with many other people.
5. I am trying to get it written as I need to praise the Lord and thank you all for your prayers.
6. What happened today will be a blessed memory for the rest of my life.
7. My heart’s desire today was to love the people that God placed in my path. You will see the beautiful people at the Charlotte County Hospital who were my A+ care team. They need to be prayed for, they work so hard every day. We need to show our gratitude to this beautiful family of people. They have cared for me for so many years and of course I have been blessed to have many, “God stories“ with them.
8. One of my favourite expressions to say is, “we are all just walking each other home.“
9. In the Bible, God tells us, “and now these three things remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love“ 1 Corinthians 13:13 Never miss the amazing opportunity to love those around you with the heart of Christ. It is a true privilege to serve our Lord and King. He doesn’t need us to complete his work, but he offers us the blessing of serving him.
10. My prayer and heart’s desire is that these pictures I am posting help you see the heart of Christ in these beautiful people and the love of Christ shining through them. What a blessing to be able to thank them today! How often do you get to truly thank the people, that are walking you home. Thank you, my resident photographer, Jamie Matthews for capturing these moments. We truly can be grateful to our Lord and King wherever we are. Please make the most of your 1440 minutes every single day. Life goes fast! Don’t miss any of your blessings! I pray God sprinkles blessings for each of you every single day. Wait! I think I see another blessing now.
11. There was a hard realization that God wanted me to fully comprehend today. On our way back from the hospital, God told me to ask Jamie to take me over to the Jeep. I realized in that moment that I will not be able to get in the jeep again. I thanked the Jeep for all the good rides and turned away. I would now require a special van that had a wheelchair lift. That is something we do not have. It made me a little sad because I was hoping to get to church and worship with my Church family one more time and bring my beautiful care worker with me. I am having peace with it because God has been teaching me to count my blessings where I am and to always be grateful. Appreciate what you can do every day and thank God for all his blessings.
There is no way this journey would be as beautiful as it is without the power of prayer at the centre of it. I think I need my sunglasses on because without them, the brightness of God‘s love and beauty, would make it impossible to fully see. Get your sunglasses on!! Don’t miss the blessing of stepping out into your God‘s story with God every single day. Your life will be transformed forever.
May you feel our love, Holy Spirit Hugs, and prayers of gratitude,
Paulette and Jamie ✨♥️🙌♥️✨♥️🙏♥️✨
ps if you could, please pray for my transition as I learn to be left-handed as the use of my right hand\arm is very limited due to lack of mobility and pain. Also, if you could please pray for my palliative care doctor as he makes the decisions for the pain medications that I take. It’s was fun to be on high steroids and have a week of feeling good! We will see what the next step is.
pss There will be no test results for a while. Also, I will no longer be able to answer people individually because of my mobility, limitations and fatigue. The one thing I know is cancer makes you have fatigue so strong… I’ve never experienced anything like it before. It just washes over you and you have to sleep.
A very wise kind woman who had lost both her parents to this type of cancer said to me:
“I want you to remember one thing for me, Paulette. You will get tired and it’s OK to be tired and rest.“
Jesus took naps be like Jesus.
