The Ever Changing Journey
Happy Easter to all near and Far. Hope each of you can just embrace the gift of what this season holds. It will be Good Friday in a couple of days, but don’t forget that Resurrection Sunday is coming!

John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” NIV
We truly appreciate all the encouragement, notes, messages, love and prayers that have been lifted by each of you. This Thursday we would greatly appreciate your prayers. 8:00 sharp we are to be at the Oncology Radiation Department and will be there until late afternoon. My journey has changed significantly mobility & pain wise. It is a miracle that I called my radiation oncologist’s office last Friday and this Thursday I am going to receive my markings and then my one-and-done radiation treatments to the multiple areas. If you lament and seek God’s face He makes a way. Please pray for:
A. My pain levels travelling, getting marked and receiving treatments. Pain may also increase for awhile after the treatments.
B. That the treatments ultimate yield positive results
C. That the are no negative side affects like last time.
After missing two Sundays due to illness, I had the privilege of going yesterday to both services at USABC. What a powerful night it was at the “Unity Praise & Worship” at Union Street. There are no words for what it was like to hear 160+ people worshiping & singing praises to our Lord & King. The Holy Spirit was Strong in the house! It was like a taste of Heaven. If you had the privilege to go you are indeed blessed. Never take going to church for granted. It is a blessing and a gift.
Please pray we keep our sense of humor & most of all keep our eyes on Jesus as the journey changes & continues.
After us both being sick for about 4 weeks: One morning I said to Jamie, “I’m feeling a little light headed today still.”
With concern in his voice he responded, “Do you mean dizzy? “
(Trap & bait masterfully set.)
I replied, “Yes, a little dizzy. Just off a little.”
He replied with glee in his voice and a twinkle in his eye,
“Well, you’ve always been a little dizzy.”
Then he continued, “Me, the sane one & you the dizzy one.”
And I said, “Do you know what my response is to that?”
He said, “That I’m right?”
I said, ”No. The Bible says that the meek will inherit the earth”.
And Jamie asked, “What does the Bible say about the wise?”
My response, “I don’t think that’s something you’ll have to worry about comprehending.”
Please pray for whom God will place in our path on Thursday too. He has a plan & purpose for what we do every day, even when we don’t understand. Well, He just may have blessed you all, as the update I have been working on in between being sick for weeks, decided to get lost in cyber space today, just when I had finished it. I went to copy and paste it and it disappeared. It wasn’t in the deleted folder either. I am thinking God was sparing you from the first chapter of my novel! Cousin Richard it will be just a favorite drink and snack kind of read this time.

Jamie has heard me preach enough times that you need to drink “more water”… If you have a headache, drink more water etc. …as lot of the times we are just dehydrated.
I do drink a lot of water but one day when I was sick I said, “Sometimes I don’t think I am drinking enough water, either.”
He said, “That’s because it comes out of your pores when you have hot flashes. And then he added, “You drink so much water that you are leaking.”
My reply was, “Oh, I think that’s God trying to put out my hot flashes before I spontaneous combust.” Anyone else have a theory on that?
Welcome to our world.

Sending A HUGE thank you to each of you and of course my love, HUGS & Prayers to each of you. Please take time to change someone’s life and invite them to church on Good Friday and/or Easter Sunday. As a matter of fact God led me to the USABC here on Easter Sunday 2019. It is my number of fullness celebration this year, as I have been here 7 years. A life-changing moment it was for sure to find such a beautiful church family. What a blessing you all are. What a blessing my family is. Love you all beyond words. I am so grateful for each of you.
