Made it Home - ZERO Frenamee Treatments Left.

Thanks to all of your love and prayers, I made it home today! My idea of
freedom and yours are probably two different things. Mine is not being hooked
up to an IV!! You know the one that you get to pull around everywhere and
forces you to get up all night long to go to the bathroom. Not only do you have
to get up to go but you have to put the hospital measure hat in position,
measure and chart your output. That's why I say being unhooked from the IV is
my idea of freedom. I felt like new person when that was gone.

Prayer that my granddaughter, Audri wrote for me. She was 11 years old.
“Dear god please help nana as she’s going through the radiation treatments
Let there be no pain, as she gets tattooed.”

Now the task at hand will be to recover from this chemo treatment. When I got a
fever the other night, they did a chest X-ray and lots of blood work. Then they
gave me antibiotics through my IV. They have sent me home with antibiotics to
take for the next 10 days. Hopefully the antibiotics will do the trick. I just
have to make sure I don't get a fever, so I will check it several times a day.
A temperature means back the hospital. At lease my heart knows that this time
as I recover from my freenamee treatment that it is ZERO and I don't have to do
it again!

God always has much to teach you when you are in the hospital on an oncology
ward. My three friends that I told you about when I was in the hospital last
time (Joan, Barney and Pat)... You form a unique bond with others on this
journey. It is almost like they are your second family. You become attached to
them and love them. They have a pure love which was born from the cancers they
face. It is almost an indescribable, unconditional love.
You see there are blessings in the land of cancer too. Well as you can see, it
doesn't take long to do my hair now. When I wasn't feeling well the last three
nights. Barney would come to visit me and stay chat after Jamie would have to
leave. There are blessings all around you. Stop and take note or you might
miss out on the rich blessings God has surrounded you with.

My love, (((HUGS)))) and prayers,
Paulette
