July 18th, 2012 - Broadway Play - Hair Spray with Kathy Barnett - Director’s Box
Big event tonight for Audri and I (and Lindsay if she feels like she can sit up that long can come too... She will have to play it by ear.). Kathy Barnett their next door is in the broadway play "Hair Spray". She got us seats in the Directors Box for the dinner theatre of the show tonight!!! So if you don't hear from me tonight, you will know where we are! If Lindsay doesn't feel she can go, we ride down with Kathy. It is so sweet of her to say she will drive us there, even though she is busy with being in the production tonight! I am sure this will mean, an opportunity to meet many wonderful people who are in the play too. It will be a fun adventure! God is so good! This will be something special that we all will NEVER forget.

Sometimes God gives us extra special blessings when we step into our trials\storms, just to let us know, that He is there. I was in Kansas with my daughter Lindsay when I found out I had breast cancer in July 2012. My family doctor’s office in Canada could not get through to my “track phone” in Kansas as I was in the U.S. This all led to my husband Face-Timing me to tell me. Can you even begin to imagine the emotions he had to experience to call me? Doctors deliver this type of news everyday but it isn’t part of our regular life. What about extraordinary courage, mixed with a divine compassion that it truly took to accomplish this?
My daughter, Lindsay, was very sick with her third pregnancy. God blessed she, my granddaughter (Audri) & I. It was such a rich blessing. Just to get to do something “normal” together. God is so amazingly good beyond what we dream or even imagine.
